29 июня 2026 года Верховный суд США постановил, что президент может по своему усмотрению увольнять комиссаров SEC, CFTC, FTC и других федеральных агентств. Это решение отменило 91-летний прецедент об ограничении таких полномочий. Как пишут СМИ, вердикт может усилить влияние Дональда Трампа на SEC и CFTC на фоне обсуждения Clarity Act: в Комиссии по ценным бумагам и биржам сейчас три республиканца и ни одного демократа, в Комиссии по срочной биржевой торговле — только председатель-республиканец.
